My Past Month

What a month it has been!

On September 26th, my daughter, Daisy Sandra was born. The past month has just been attempting to keep up with this new life. Apparently, even though babies sleep a lot, they take up all of your time. When she is sleeping, I’m either sleeping as well or trying to catch up on the 100000 chores I’ve let fall behind. This doesn’t really come as a surprise to me, though. I knew babies were a lot of work, and I knew I’d be exhausted, but I didn’t fully know what life would be like.

And it’s pretty hard to explain what life is like now. It’s incredible. It’s marvelous. It’s exhausting. It’s frustrating. It’s sad. It’s joyous. It’s scary. It’s exciting. It’s so much more than I can put into words.

Every time I look at this treasure, I’m overwhelmed. It’s an awesome (and I mean that to the fullest extent of the word) feeling. This whole new kind of love has helped me understand the world more. It’s helped me understand my parents more. It’s helped me understand God more. Parenthood is just so cool.

God has blessed my family beyond words. He is so good.
